Sponsorship

Sponsorship is a form of personalized help which does not involve any legal, moral or exclusive obligation, but is simply a friendly relationship between the sponsor and the child, with the aim of helping to build the child's education, be it scholastic or professional, and of contributing towords his/her upkeeping.
Sponsorships last one school year, shich in Kenya goes from January to December, and can be renewed annually with no further formalities, either on the part of the sponsee or on request by the Officer for Missions, Suore di Loreto.
Sponsorships are a substantial contribution towards paying for the actual expenses (which are considerably high), and the child's family is asked to give what they can, even a very modest sum, so as to make them understand that some sort of effort is needed on their part.
Sponsorships pay for school fees, uniforms, textbooks, stationery and equipment , food, afternoon tutoring, and general assistance in the field of health, education, religion and recreation. They are in fact a precious collaboration towards the work of Human Promotion and evangelisation carried out by the Sisters and lay missionaries in the Isiolo district, Kenya.
Benefits are currently forwarded to children at the Isiolo "Loreto" Nursery School. These children are then helped through elementary education , professional training (for teachers, nurses, secretarial staff) and vocational training (bricklayers, woodworkers, mechanics, welders, tailors and dressmakers).
